First off, I've always been a huge fan of your dwarf designs, this is just another great one! The colors are strong, the duller tones of the metal and wood, stand out very strongly against the lighter, more vibrant colors of the skin and hair. Overall, the design of the armor is strong, the studs and arrows provide a nice amount of detail work on a fairly strong, plain design. The texturing turned out beautifully, the lines of the wood as well as the texture of the chainmail. Working it in some of the practical design elements such as the padding on the shield and the way the boots came out, provide a realistic out look on fantasy style armor. The only thing that catches me at all as being a little bit off is the direction of the raised axe. Maybe turning it slightly so it's a bit more 3/4 view would work a bit better. All and all, this is another awesome work and a great design! As always, I can't wait to see more!
Well, the blade curves down the meets with the handle. I'm afraid that if enough force was placed on the top of the ax it might slip in her hands. As her grip slid up it would cut her fingers and... sigh... Wait, I'm sorry, I really need to get a life. I'm such a dork.
